By the fire with Lavender and Peach Boutique

Sometimes there is nothing more sophisticated than a sheath dress. A timeless classic, these dresses suit a variety of body shapes and just seem to ooze elegance. Now a sheath dress combined with florals, one of my absolute favorite things is even better and perfect for adding some colour all year round.

Flowers ~ Peach rose double from Daisy Jean Designs
Earrings & Brooch ~ Lilac floral earrings and brooch set from Luxulite
Necklace ~ Lilac beads from Debstar Designs
Dress ~ Eliza Dress from Lavender and Peach Boutique
Shoes ~ Lacy Heels from B.A.I.T Footwear

Now this isn’t the first sheath dress I’ve featured from Lavender and Peach boutique  and its easy to see why. They nail the sheath design perfectly in a way thats suitable for a range of body shapes and I love how curve friendly their firmer styles are. For those who aren’t familiar with this brand, Lavender and Peach Boutique are a Queensland based small business specializing in vintage style outfits. Their aim at a unique take and sustainability, therefore each piece is limited! Who doesn’t love rocking an outfit that is fewer than most?!

Like the Rosemary Dress which I’ve featured before, the Eliza is a late 50s/early 60s feeling Sheath dress made from cotton blend. This means it breaths beautifully while still allowing some stretch The fabric pattern especially sold me on this gorgeous dress, as pastel pinks and florals are two of my favorite things! The Eliza features an invisible side zip closure, which is of good quality so I don’t have to fight it at the seam to get it up (because lets be honest, thats hell when that happens) and I love the sit of this dress on my pear shape both naturally and when I’m rocking foundations. I’m rocking the size 16 in the Eliza and it fits perfectly.

The cut of this dress also makes it a versatile piece for your wardrobe, because how its accessorised will either lift it up or dress it down! Want to go shopping, pop it on with some flats and a quick updo and off you go. Want to wear it to work, some basic heels and a nice hairstyle will do the trick. Want to wear it to something more formal? Again lift your shoe and accessory game and you’re there. I also love that taking its inspiration from the end of a decade you can keep the styling more 50s with a wetset for it can throw beautifully 60s with a french roll or a beehive. The versatility of this dress for me truly makes it a winner! This dress also comes with a matching belt!

The Eliza Dress will set for back $160AU + postage, which for a handmade garment is incredibly fair. They also ship worldwide, meaning ladies outside of Australia can snap themselves up this gorgeous piece!

I hope you’ve all enjoyed this review darlings!

Til next time

A special thanks to the Robertson Hotel for allowing me to shoot at their incredible premises!
