When life gives you lemons with Lindy Bop

While we may be moving into Autumn here in Australia, it seems the weather missed that memo as most days its still to warm to wear even my marginally winter style items and I’m still reaching for my spring and summer wardrobe daily and I’m enjoying all the soft spring prints while I can, before it gets too cool to enjoy them. Now I’m normally one to rock floral prints but lately, some fruity style ones have been catching my eye and one of those has been the ‘Christie’ Lemon Border Print Swing Dress from Lindy Bop!

The Christie lemon print border print dress is new to Lindy Bop, just in time for spring to start on the flip side in the southern hemisphere! Christie features a pretty design of off the shoulder sleeves in soft yellow with a pretty lemon border print bottom. The thing I love most about this dress is the splashes of deep green thanks to the lemon leaves, which lend itself to some fabulous styling and help break of the block yellow tones. This is my first dress from Lindy Bop in the cut and I’m pretty happy with it overall.

The Christie is made from special matte finish poly stretch fabric, which is pretty common in Lindy Bop for their printed fabrics. This is good as it means the fabric does have some give to it. Its also lined, for more comfortable wear. The lining does make it a nice dress for warmer weather, which is perfect for spring but it can get a bit stuffy on very humid days (got to love Australia). The off the shoulder sleeves have plenty of room for those with fuller arms and I adore the little bow detailing the sleeves have. The neckline also sits quite high on me (probably not as high on those with longer torsoes) which makes it a great dress for a more conservative look.

As I mentioned before, the dark green hues in this dress thanks to the leaves make it a dream to style. I matched my Christie to dark green what katie did glamour seams and my Liz heels from BAIT footwear for a sassy spring finishes well as the perfect brooch being my dandylion brooch by Winnifred’s daughter I purchased at the brooch lovers big day out in Brisbane! For size reference I’m wearing my usual size 18 in this gorgeous dress and it fits perfectly with or without shapewear!

The gorgeous Christie dress is £44.00/$75AUD + shipping. One thing I do really love about Lindy Bop is their reasonable shipping rates to Australia and postage generally only takes a week and a bit too!

I hope you’ve all enjoyed this review! I’m so smitten with this gorgeous new frock!

Til next time darlings!
