Spring dream with Voodoo Vixen

We all have that colour in our wardrobe that we really don’t have enough of but that we simply adore. For me, that colour is green. Its long been one of my favorites as its various hues often show up in my favorite place (the sea) and I find it to be such a wonderfully calming colour. When I saw this look pop up on the Voodoo Vixen instagram, I knew I had to have it!

So as I’ve recently expressed on my Instragram, Voodoo Vixen have really been killing it with their design the past 12 months! I’ve been loving their 40s and 50s style stuff and their latest release is no exception! There are so many pieces I want/need/must have and its so hard to pick just one! But this was my first addition to my wardrobe from their latest release so it felt right to share it first!

There area a few reasons I needed this look and its not just my obsession with the colour green, though that definitely played into it. The second reason was the daisy detail on the Debbie top! I adore daisies, which is part of why the name Daisy is in my business name! The soft details around the neckline of the Debbie top along with the bold green of the Sandy skirt sold me. I was fortunate enough to track down a Sandy skirt locally from one of my favorite local stockists Gwynnies and the Debbie top in my size from Top Vintage! I was over the moon when they arrived and its been a struggle to not wear them constantly ever since.

So sizing? I went with the Large in the Debbie top and found it was a good fit, comfortably fitting with or without foundations. I do find that the neckline has a habit of pulling across your face though when you’re putting it on, so I definitely recommend makeup after! Its got a lot of stretch and I love that its two layered, which means its not see through at all. The arms are comfortable, it machine washes well and being white is a very versatile top to add to my wardrobe!

In the Sandy Skirt I went with a size XL but found this much roomier than I needed and have since popped some darts in it. This fabric does have quite a bit of give in the waist which is nice and it breathes beautifully while still being a heavier fabric that keeps its shape. Plus, nice deep pockets ladies! Dreams do come true! It doesn’t come with a belt but I couldn’t resist teaming it with mustard.

Overall, this set is everything I’d hoped and I’m so thrilled with it! Its comfortable, its pretty and its speaks to me on a personal level! Some of these sizes are sold out on the Voodoo Vixen website but definitely check out their stockists as I did!

Til next time darlings!
