Vintage Rose Garden with Kitten D’Amour (Free postage code inside)

Dresses recently have definitely become my go to. I find this is due to their ease of wear for me and the fact that they tend to sit nicer around my waist (I’m quite short torsoed so sometimes skirts can bunch a bit). I find this means I’m hunting for more and more dresses now days and as usual, prints always catch my eye. Floral Prints are a big winner in my wardrobe, I adore their simple elegance and beauty as much as I love real flowers. So it was no surprise that I fell in love with the floral Follies Mon Amour Dress from Kitten D’Amour.

For those who aren’t familiar with Kitten D’Amour, they’re an Australian brand who specialise in retro and kitschy style clothing that is made up of very limited runs. While not all Kitten designs jumps out of me in the past, in the last 12 months they’ve definitely catching my attention with some of their fabulous designs. This design in particular is beyond beautiful and I couldnt’ wait to share it with you all!

The Follies Mon Amour Dress is a winter style dress that features a very soft floral pattern set on a dark back which can throw either a black or dark green, light depending. This dress is made of a primarily polyester blend, so keep i mind it has not much stretch at all. I opted for the size 16, which is my normal size from kitten (I own two other kitten dresses). I was originally alittle worried about the arms (curvy girl problems!) but was so pleased to find the arms were accommodating and comfortable with no firmness across the chest.

The Follies Mon Amour Dress does up with a simple back zipper that doesn’t catch or snag at the hemline. This dress is a little shorter than I normally wear but still flattering, sitting just above the knee on me (for reference I’m 165cm tall). The front bust detail of this dress is a cross over, which I find super flattering on a range of body types. The waist band it nice and wide, which on a body like mine helps make my body look longer which I adore. The knife pleating helps smooth the hips and tummy which makes for a super flattering cut.

Overall I’m absolutely loving this dress and I know its one I’ll reach for a lot during this cold Sydney winter! For reference again I’m wearing a size 16 and I’m a 40-42 inch bust and a 30-34 waist depending on if I have a corset on or not. I can easily wear this dress with or without, though the right bra definitely helps me fill it a little!

If you’re loving the Follies Mon Amour Dress she retails for $179.00AU + postage and they have afterpay! However for Aussie gals I’ve got some good news! Free domestic shipping for Aussie gals who spend more than $150AU in store with coupon code “CurveCreationSentMe” ! Valid for 6 months and available once per purchase!

Happy shopping darlings!
