Sassy in red with Karina Dresses

I’m a lover of red. Its no secret really. I used to be a flaming red head before the upkeep wore me down and since going blonde I like to wear red on as many occasions as I possibly can. Its become my go to power colour, for days when I need an emotional boost of confidence or I just want to feel like a babe. One of my favorite prints is florals, so I was super excited to see two of my favorite things meshed together in Karina Dresses latest release!

For those who aren’t familiar with this brand, I’ve been sharing Karina dresses fabulous dresses here on my blog for a few years now. The quintessential retro dress for the pinup after style without the effort, these dresses are great for a variety of ladies from a variety of reasons! Made from the most comfortable stretch microfibre fabric, these dresses will fit a variety of body shapes comfortably while still looking amazing! Being an endo girl, I adore Karina dresses for days when I’m feeling particularly bloated or crampy and just want to feel comfortable without compromising my retro style. These dresses are so comfortable I wore one on the day of my exploratory surgery to and from the hospital! They’re also amazing for breast feeding mothers, with many styles allowing comfortable access for bub and are a great travel dress, as I discovered when I wore mine recently to Brisbane and New Zealand!

This is my first longer sleeve Karina dress and I must admit, I do adore it. It gives me some much-appreciated coverage on my upper arms and with the fabric’s stretch, I don’t need to worry about tight sleeve holes or firmness. The neckline on the Karina’s is super comfortable and I’ve always adored their cross over V neck styles! The Megan also has a defined thick waist band, which is a feature I love and the length is just perfect for a retro feel as well as lending itself to a more work appropriate dress.

Karina dresses is also very size inclusive as a brand! Their dresses size range is an SX-XXL but due to the stretchy nature of the fabric this means they can fit a variety of ladies. I’ve found Karina dresses super flattering with or without my foundation garments and regularly wear them with just bra and brief as well as a corset and stockings. For size reference at around a 40 bust, 34 waist and 48 inch hip, I comfortably wear a M/L. Karina dresses are also wearable all year round. A slip and a cardigan make them more winter friendly and wear as they are in summer for a comfortable look. I find their fabric breaths nicely in our Humid summers and they’re often one I reach for in the warmer months. I also love how they keep the same styles but re-release in new prints! It means I can keep adding styles I love to my wardrobe but each dress has its own look.

A karina dress will set you back $108US/$151AU + postage which is an amazing price for a dress you will literally wear again and again! I’m still wearing my first Karina dress over 2 years later and it still looks as amazing now.

Til next time darlings
